{My sister…}

Meet my sister Chantal.  Don’t try to pronounce her name… it’s french, and not really pronounced like you would assume it is.  :)

She is my older sister and lives in Canada.  We don’t see each other very often.  Maybe once or twice a year, which is not enough :(  She came down a few weeks ago to visit and my dear friend Arden took photos of us.

These are very dear to me because my sister is very special to me.  She does not have a bad bone in her body.  She is kind, serene, peaceful, soft spoken, funny, strong, delicate, always ready, helpful… and I could go on and on about her.  I love her more than words can express and even though we don’t see each other often, we are extremely close.  When we do see each other, we are so silly together, and we have these long, long, long talks that are just so eye opening.

Chantal, thank you for being my confident, supporter, cheerleader, and for always telling me how it is!  I love you very much and cannot wait to see you soon.  Yes… I will see her soon… hint, hint! :)

{Love x3}

I am so amazed by the shots below.  They are all so amazing!

Thanks to my dear friend & photographer Arden Prucha.  Arden and I have been friends for years… and she taught me A LOT about photography.  She’s an amazing teacher, friend, and mama!  Thank you .A. for taking the time to shoot these on such short notice.  I mean literally… we talked on Thursday and we were shooting on Friday morning bright and early.

The light was beautiful, and the kids did well… even little Jaxon smiled for a few.  If you’re in need of a great photog don’t hesitate to contact Arden… she is professional, talented, funny as hell, and kind of gorgeous :)

Can’t wait to print some of these…

My beautiful sister Chantal  flew down from Canada to visit.  What an incredible woman she is!

Yeah… he wasn’t having it for this one :)

LOVE . LOVE . LOVE the middle one!!!

I cannot wait to order a canvas from my friend Arden of this one.  It is my favorite of them all.  I feel very empowered to have the best 2 little angels by MY side!  Kameryn & Jaxon… I LOVE you both with all my heart.  Yesterday . Today . Tomorrow.

FOREVER!

{A white blanket in Texas}

Yes it has been cold in “Tejas”!!! After spending the last week stuck in the house with the kiddos, sunshine could not come fast enough.  Saturday came around, and the weather was just beautiful.  We were all itching to be out and about.  So what better way to run some errands and to stop here and there to take a few shots.  Miss Kameryn was again my beautiful subject, and can I just say that she just rocked these shots.

Wearing a great piece by Gracylu Originals and using some new creamy, milky, dreamy actions I just pruchased, this shoot was a success from start to finish!

P.S.  Even though she gets annoyed with me taking her pictures all the time, I keep telling her that she will be thankful one day that these blog posts are here for her to look at. :)

I have a collection of miniature books.  These are some of my favorites.  All given by people that are very important to me.  The first couple ones on top were given to me by husband years ago.  Following by the “I miss you” book from my dear sister.  The last one on the bottom was from a dear friend that has now moved away.  I cherish these little books that are full of wisdom.

Look at those killer eyes.

The quilt around Kameryn was made by my Grandmother when I was 2-years old.  It has now become my husband favorite blanket of all times.

I guess you can say that this mini shoot was very meaningful and accessorized with props that are important to me.  This heart shaped box below, contains  notes & cards that my husband has written me over the years.  Awww… I know… sweet :)

{Snow Peek}

Little taste of snow in TEX.AS!

{Her Day}

Today I took the day off to be with my daughter.  We went to see a performance at Bass Hall, then to the Science Museum followed with by 2-hour car ride to find a new location for my shoot on Saturday.  (Yeah, I kind of feel bad about that last part, but she fell asleep in the first 15-minutes, so I’m off the hook)

Our day was absolutely fantastic and SO needed.  We don’t have the mother-daughter time like we used to since Kyler has been born, so this was very special.  I did bring my camera as I always do, but didn’t abuse it this time.  She gets a little annoyed with it on a regular basis, so since this was HER special day, I snapped only a few.

SHE is my source of energy.  My now BIG girl.  Growing up TOO FAST!

Isn’t this one image below so cool?
