I first met Amy when my son started school at The Montessori Academy.

She is one of his teachers.  Jaxon took some time to warm up to her, and now he absolutely loves her.

Amy is so sweet, caring, soft spoken, gentle with him and she is truly great with him.

I was very excited when Amy asked me to take her family pics.  We met at an abandoned carwash which has amazing tall grass, and then went downtown Arlington for a different look and great lighting.

They flew in from Chicago for the weekend to visit with some friends that we have in common and asked to book a session with me.  (Very thankful and honored)

This session was last minute, and on the fly, but it turned out marvelous.  So I hope you enjoy these great images of this beautiful family as they were so fun to capture. 

P.S.  These images were captured at my friend’s house George & Cindy in Midlothian.  They have an amazing property and I look forward to shooting their family there soon.  {Hint, hint Cindy}

I love it when I have returned clients.  You may remember Julian from this newborn session a few weeks ago.

Kristin & Adrian had family in town, and they wanted some photos captured of all of them. together.

I hope you enjoy these images as much as I enjoyed taking them.  It was quite a hot afternoon here in Texas, but everyone did well.

I love love love this series below.  Why?  Because it’s real life.  If you have kids, you very well know that things don’t always go as planned.  Well this was one of those moments, and even though Sebastian is not having it… I love the movement and the emotion in these images.  Good job Kristin and Adrian for staying cool the whole entire time

Well… as I walk away, he starts crying.  Crying.  Crying.  And crying some more.  I decide to just leave him in his room, and to not go get him.  I decide to clean the house.  A clean house = a clean mind = a clean life

I am in the master bathroom cleaning away…for about 15 minutes or so… and I hear a little laugh.  I turn around and guess who is there… Yep… my son!  I immediately go to Kameryn’s room and ask her why she got him out of the crib.  Her response: “I didn’t mom… I kept hearing someone banging on his door, and I opened the door, and there he was”.

I couldn’t believe it.  So I decided to put it to test… Sure enough, this little rascal can get out of his crib on his OWN.

We met for her family session at Trinity Park in Fort Worth.  The love that this family have for each other is just so amazing, and you can almost feel it as you look at the images.  I hope that you enjoy them as much as I enjoyed taking and editing them.  I actually teared up a few times editing them because I was so happy for them and so in “Awh”  of the love they have for each other. 

There have been so many controversial posts about photographers and how they choose to photograph their sessions.  Some say that you HAVE to be able to pose your subjects down to a “T” to be considered a Pro Photog.  Some say that in order to be considered a professional, you have to be able to capture candid moments.  For me I have decided that I am just ME.   I capture candid moment beautifully, and find those images to be a reflection of my clients and their lives.  I often just say to my clients during a shoot “just be yourselves, interact with each other, and I’ll capture your real you”.  That’s what I love to do .  I also love to pose my subjects in manners that look natural.  I like to do both.  So… a little of both is what I like to consider myself.  Does that make me less of a professional… I am not sure… You decide
